Field Controller - Full-Time

Description

The Field Controller provides oversight and management for the company’s field accounting functions as it relates to cost control and revenue reporting.

  • Supervise and mentor hospital staff as needed related to financial tools and cost control.
  • Provides support to Hospital Administrators and facility team members as needed.
  • Calculate and articulate the Hospital KPIs weekly to Hospital Administrators.
  •  Provides productivity reports, analyze, and summarize statistics for each facility.
  •  Understands the statistical variables used by the company and their relationships to financial performance.
  • Assist with pro-formals related to revenue, salaries, supplies, etc. and relay changes as requested.
  •  Implement corporate’s initiatives to improve hospital financial procedures.
  • Analyzes financial information for financial close making recommendations as needed
  •  Ensures that specific company costs are reviewed, and action taken as needed.
  • Audits cost controls and provide recommendations as needed.
  • Participates in year end close for fixed assets, GL, and AP
  • Understands the statistical variables used by the company and their relationships to financial performance.
  • Identify areas of operational efficiency and financial process improvement and bring recommended solutions to the Corporate Controller.
  • Works closely with other accounting team members to facilitate efficient data flow and clean accounting information
  • Gathers financial documentation, analyze, and provide answers as requested.
  • Develops tools needed to help hospital staff analyze the reports at their disposal.
  • Review and work with facility leaders to identify causes of performance variance
  • Implement KPI measures for facilities and corporate departments
  • Maintain records for large capital projects and help hospital staff maintain accounting records of those projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Experience

  • At least five plus years increasing responsibility in accounting functions, preferably in healthcare finance.

Education Required

• BA/BS Degree in Accounting or related field or comparable work experience

Additional Information

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

  • CPA License or eligible candidate preferred
