Helping children with a variety of challenges, Nexus Children’s Hospital offers a variety of pediatric nutrition, weight, and lifestyle management programs. Our team uses a unique scoring system to identify your child’s stage at admission, determine your child’s goal stage, and evaluate success along the way. A Registered Dietitian (RD) will evaluate each child’s nutritional status to determine needs and goals, which can include following a normal rate of growth, demonstrating catch-up weight gain, achieving weight loss, or correcting nutrient deficiency.

Our program is specially designed to meet the nutritional needs of the child with feeding & swallowing disorder, to overcome barriers, and provide specialized family training to ensure success at discharge.
Effective childhood obesity treatment requires retraining, skill reinforcement, and consistent access to those knowledgeable in its treatment. At Nexus Children’s Hospital, our treatment focuses on helping children that have long-standing obesity and have found that traditional outpatient treatments have been unsuccessful. Our on-site, registered dietitian completes a nutritional analysis of patients and creates diets appropriate for age and diagnosis.
Providing children and their families the advantage over outpatient treatments, we offer an environment where children may focus on acquiring healthy eating habits and engaging in physical exercise, while addressing any concerns about body image and eating.
Nexus' NeuroContinuum sequence provides a range of care for those recovering from acquired or traumatic brain injuries and other complicated illnesses or diseases.
