Nexus Neurorecovery Center

Neurobehavioral Services Post Acquired or Traumatic Brain Injury, Stroke, or Illness

All people are social beings, including those who have experienced an acquired or traumatic brain injury, stroke, or illness. However, when the frontal lobe of the brain is affected or damaged, patients can experience difficulties managing impulses, behavior, and emotions.

Because the lack of control can become a barrier between patients and successful brain injury rehabilitation, Nexus Health Systems’ multi-disciplinary team – staffed by neurologists, neuropsychiatrists, and neuropsychologists – assess patients to develop individualized treatment plans focused on the development of strategies and coping mechanisms. Working towards more effective management of behavior and reactions, our patients experience more independence and make greater progress during brain injury rehabilitation.
