Heather VanHooser is a results-driven nursing and clinical operations leader with more than 15 years of experience in acute care, workforce development, and clinical quality improvement. She brings a strong track record of building high-performing teams, improving patient outcomes, and driving operational excellence across complex healthcare environments.

Prior to joining Nexus, Heather served as Assistant Chief Nursing Officer at HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood. During her tenure, she achieved significant improvements in employee engagement, patient safety, and operational efficiency. Heather holds a Master of Science in Nursing and Leadership from Galen College of Nursing and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Tyler, bringing both clinical and business expertise to her role as Vice President of Clinical Services.
